Premier League transfer window 2017 LIVE: All the ins and outs

Welcome to Day 4 of the January 2017 Transfer Window.

Leicester City finally announced the £15m capture of Genk midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to get the day underway.

The 20-year-old Nigeria international has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal and is just awaiting a work permit.

Chelsea could be saying goodbye to John Obi Mikel after 10 years with the club as he heads to China.

But in his stead, the Blues could well be interested in bringing Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal to Stamford Bridge from Bayern Munich, which would represent a huge deal for the Blues.

Carlo Ancelotti has, though, poured cold water on any Blues plans to bring the tough midfielder to west London.

And Charlton’s Ademola Lookman seems to be edging ever closer towards his Everton move as he travels to Merseyside for a medical.

Rudy Gestede’s move to Middlesbrough from Aston Villa has finally gone through, with the Benin international striker joining the Teeside club for three and a half years.

Meanwhile, West Ham and Sunderland are locking horns in what appears to be our first January transfer saga.

The Hammers had a bid of £6m rejected for former striker Jermain Defoe but will go back in for the prolific front man.

And could a former Manchester United stalwart return to the club?

According to Rio Ferdinand (yes, we know), Patrice Evra may well be on the move back to Old Trafford.

Stoke City wrapped up their first deal of the window after agreeing a deal to convert Lee Grant’s loan into a permanent move.

Derby could receive in excess of £2m for the goalkeeper, who was loaned to Mark Hughes’ side at the start of the season.

Joey Barton is the first player to sign for a top flight team – he’s gone back to Burnley after a brief spell at Rangers.

But striker Rudy Gestede is expected to be the next Premier League signing, moving from Aston Villa to Middlesbrough.

Yet what’s this…? Birmingham manager Gianfranco Zola has been handed a wad of cash and he wants to splash out £4m of it on out-of-favour Crystal Palace wideman Bakary Sako.

Big Sam will love that sort of boost as he looks to build a squad to escape the relegation vortex.

Good news for West Ham though… Dimitri Payet was this morning linked with a return to Marseille but now the French club’s former defender – and World Cup winner – Franck LeBoeuf has insisted that Payet has no interest in going back.
